FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
MICROBLADING FAQ
Are you completely booked?
My schedule opens one month at a time. I open my schedule on the 15th of every month at 10am for the following month.
Is there an age requirement?
I will not perform Microblading on anyone under the age of 18, even with a consent form.
What is Microblading?
3D hair stroke method where hair like strokes are embedded into the brow area creating a fuller and more defined brow. It is done with a very fine blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis.
What is Microshading?
Microshading is a perfect way to give your brows a more solid makeup effect.
Can I combine Microblading and Microshading?
Yes. I offer COMBO brows.
Is Microblading an eyebrow tattoo?
It is considered to be semi-permanent unlike a traditional tattoo. Pigments used are chosen to match the natural brow color and are expected to heal true to color UNLIKE tattoo ink.
How long does the procedure take?
The procedure takes about an hour and a half, sometimes less. Often times I won’t require that much time, but it is important to me that both the client and I don’t feel rushed.
How long does it last?
Results can last anywhere between 1 and 3 years. Aftercare and skin type play a huge role.
Will I need a Touch Up?
A Touch Up should take place 4-12 weeks after your first session. After the initial touchup, clients with oily skin should return every 6 months and clients with normal/dry skin should return every 12 months. Touchups are the key to keeping your brows fresh!
Why do I need a Touch Up?
Skin type, sun exposure, lifestyle, facial products, diet, ect. all cause the pigment to fade.
Do I need to groom my eyebrows before my appointment?
NO. I will take care of that.
Will you shave my eyebrows off?
NO. I make every effort to include the natural hair into the new brow shape. All other hairs will be removed for a cleaner look.
Will I need to pluck/wax/thread my eyebrows after my session?
YES. Microblading is not a form of hair removal. Your hair will continue to grow as normal.
Does Microblading work on all skin tones?
YES! Check out my Instagram feed!
What if I have extremely oily skin?
Microshading is recommended.
Will you work over someone else's work?
An assessment must be made before I can work with you. Please send photos of your BARE brows to beauty@celinalagi.com BEFORE you book your appointment.
How long is the healing process?
It takes about 7-14 days to heal and about 1 month for the color to fully set in.
Is the procedure painful?
A topical anesthetic is applied during the session to reduce discomfort.
Can I take medication before my appointment?
Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, ibuprofen or other blood thinning medications 24 hours before procedure.
What if I am required to be on antibiotics before Dentist Appointments?
You must follow the same directions given by your Dentist.
